Confusion

Not sure why I used this heading but I’m sure I was trying to move an article from Facebook and had no luck with it. Why are these things so tricky for me to do? For the younger generation it’s probably easy but for me, who once worked with regular typewriters and simple adding machines — whatever that is out there now is totally different and it requires lots of time to learn.

I’m not complaining, just stating a fact and my friend just told me yesterday that it is probably the first time in our lifetime that it’s the younger people who are helping us instead of the reverse. What do you think about that?

Today everyone uses a computer and no one has to bother with memorizing anything. If they need an answer, all they have to do is go on the web–

While all this is amazing, what happens with that is that once you zero in on something that you wanted to know, the information highway takes you on another route and there you are, in another area where you had no idea you wandered into. All I can say that it’s all fascinating and then you realize that you have spent hours on this one topic and more engrossed with what you learned then getting back to writing, which you should be doing in the first place.
