Vancouver Chinatown

I like to believe that times have changed for the better but it hasn’t — however, some of my friends I once had are gone so I guess it’s safe to tell their story — One gal told me what happened to her and made me promise never to tell.  Secrets are a funny thing– I realize now I shouldn’t have listened to her and did something- That stepfather, that bastard who continuously raped her should have been locked up and they should have tossed away the key. At first she really thought she would finally get the father she never had but she was wrong.  That scheming poor excuse of a man had it all figured out when he married the mother.  Two females for the price of a marriage license.  I might have only been 12 then but I knew a predator when I saw one.  She warned me not to say anything because her mother didn’t believe her & loved him.  I’m sure if I told my Dad – he would have made certain everyone in Chinatown heard about it before calling the police.
