Caged

Went to see Charles Ng again today at San Quentin Prison with Gisela.  He has changed. He is now over 50 and look pretty good for his age.  He complains about his gall bladder and all the pain he experiences with it.  Now that he is on death row, he is treated differently and is permitted to have snacks when we are there sitting with him in his visiting cell, so we usually bring enough cash to feed the vending machines which offers all kind of things that he likes to eat.  Gisela and I both buy different things for him.  She knows how to heat up the cheeseburger in the microwave so I get him a cold roast beef cheese sandwich – between the two of us we get him a green salad, orange juice, ice cream bar, cheesecake, fresh fruit if available and whatever else we think he might like.
