Doomed sale—–   Arranged marriages are not a thing of the past.  It is still being practiced today with good intentions but evil still lurks out there.  Not too long ago, Fulan, 14, from a small village in China was sold as a bride.  Bubbly, pretty with big almond eyes, she had never dated and couldn’t believe her good fortune. She knew her family was poor and that they had no other alternative but to sell her. Her mother promised that after the wedding ceremony she would come to see her often.  Although Fulan never met the intended groom, it was the custom that she was to live with this rich man’s family to prepare for the special event.  She waited and waited and really wanted to catch a glimpse of her new husband and couldn’t wait to be his bride.  The days dragged on and on into months.   When the big day did arrive, it was not like anything she expected.  Yes, she did finally meet him but she was not prepared for what was going to take place at this particular private ceremony that she was a vital part of.  She was sacrificed and murdered to become this young man’s GHOST bride.   While it is unconscionable that something like this still happens today there is still no law against it and there is nothing anyone could have done to prevent it.
